THE LYCEUM SCHOLA CANTORUM

During the school year, The Schola Cantorum sings on the First Friday of each month at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, and at the all-school Mass every Thursday at 8:30 a.m.

    NELLIE GRAY MASS IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

    The Lyceum Schola Cantorum will sing at the Third Annual Nellie Gray Mass; commemorating the devoted shepherdess of the March for Life. Through the felicitous good will of Rev. Fr. Alfred J. Harris, Pastor, a Solemn High Mass will take place at St. Mary Mother of God Church in Washington, DC, 5th and H Sts. NW, where Nellie Gray regularly attended the Sunday traditional Mass ("Extraordinary Form"). The Mass is scheduled at 4 pm on the afternoon of the 2015 March, Thursday, January 22.

    LESSONS & CAROLS IN SOUTH EUCLID

    On Friday, December 19th, at 7 p.m.,The Lyceum Schola Cantorum will sing at its annual Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish."The Festival of Lessons and Carols is a service of Scripture and song that dates to the late 19th century. In this service, we listen to nine Scripture lessons which recount the Fall, the promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the Good News. Each lesson is followed by a carol or other song that reflects on the lesson's message and a brief prayer."
