A native son of southeastern Wisconsin, Peter J. Gardner received a bachelor’s degree in the liberal arts from Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California and a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in philosophy at the latter institution.
Mr. Gardner taught undergraduate courses in ethics at the University of St. Thomas before coming to the Lyceum in 2021. His intellectual interests are diverse, embracing ancient languages, philosophy, and mathematics. A longtime student of Latin, he studied one summer under the renowned papal Latinist Fr. Reginald Foster. At the Lyceum, Mr. Gardner is teaching Latin, Greek, history, and theology.
