Mr. Langley holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College. In 2003 he and his wife Stephanie were invited to Cleveland to found a new classical college preparatory school – The Lyceum. Before this, Mark taught at Trivium School in Massachusetts for twelve years. He also served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of Trivium School and was the Academic Dean and Director of Fundraising. He served two years as the Curriculum Development Manager for Advantage Schools, Inc., a charter school management company headquartered in Boston, MA. There he assisted in designing and managing a budget of two million dollars while also developing and managing the curriculum at 20 charter schools serving over 10,000 students around the country.
Mr. Langley loves sacred polyphonic music of the Renaissance and has founded and directed several adult, youth and children's choirs in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Ohio. He served as organist and Director of Music at the beautiful church of St. John the Evangelist in Clinton, Massachusetts, and is currently the Director of Music at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in South Euclid, Ohio Mark is currently studying for a Master's Degree in Systematic Philosophy from Holy Apostles College and Seminary and enjoys writing about Catholic liberal education on his blog Lion and Ox. He and his wife Stephanie reside in Cleveland Heights and are the proud parents of twelve children and the grandparents of five grandchildren.
