Jeannette Richard grew up in a large Catholic family in Northern California and received her bachelor’s degree from Thomas Aquinas College. After working in student life at her alma mater for several years, she moved out to the Midwest to study political philosophy and American government at Hillsdale College, where she received her master’s in 2021. She is currently finishing her doctoral dissertation on the political thought of Noah Webster, the author of the American Dictionary.

Miss Richard discovered her passion for teaching high school while teaching confirmation classes at her parish in Michigan, and she knew the Lyceum was the place for her. She has taught American History, American Literature, Latin, Writing, and Mathematics, and also enjoys supervising the ladies’ gym class.

In her spare time, Miss Richard loves being a part of several book clubs, playing volleyball, visiting the art museum, and having her friends over for dinner.
