Don VerKuilen, a native of Appleton Wisconsin, is a concert organist, choral conductor, church musician and composer. Don studied organ performance at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music under James David Christie and Jonathan Moyer. He has also studied performance and improvisation with Marie-Louise Langlais, widow of the famed French composer, Jean Langlais. Don has an active performance career as a solo recitalist across the United States and abroad. As a composer, Don’s Toccata for organ was published, and premiered at the 2016 National American Guild of Organists Convention. Don and his wife, Caitlin, reside in Cleveland Heights Ohio where he is continuing his organ studies at The Cleveland Institute of Music with Todd Wilson. Don is the Director of Music and Liturgy at St. Rocco Catholic Church in Cleveland where he championed its revival of the Tridentine Latin Mass. Don has performed with and worked with choirs across the United States and is currently Artistic Director of the Singers Club of Cleveland.
